Meet the Dentist
Dr. Dana Samet trained at Lunds University in Sweden, graduating in 1997, practicing there until her move to California. She took her dental board examination at USC and UOP, and now has practiced in the South Bay since 2002.
Dr. Samet is married and has a young son and enjoys her free time with her family. A member of WHO (Oral Health Division), ADA, CDA and Western Dental Society, Dr. Samet is a member in good standing in the organized dental community.
Dr. Hussain is a graduate from Loma Linda University’s Dental Anesthesiology program, a two year post doctorate degree. During his training at Loma Linda University Medical Center, a trauma facility with sixteeen operating rooms, he received extensive training in medical anesthesiology. He also received further specialized training at the Special Care Dentistry Clinic at the Loma Linda School of Dentistry, which sees nearly five thousand patients annually, primarily comprised of pediatric and adult special needs patients. He is a member of the American Society of Dentist Anesthesiologists, Society for Pediatric Anesthesia, International Anesthesia Research Society, the American Dental Association, and the California Dental Association. He holds certification in both Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Prior to his training as an anesthesiologist, he obtained his undergraduate and doctoral degrees from McGill University, following which he served four years in the Royal Canadian Military.

Q / A
Oral Hygiene
Q: My gums bleed when I brush my teeth. Should I be worried?
A: You should schedule an appointment with your hygienist, as you might need a cleaning. It might also be wise to see your dentist as gum bleeding could also be a symptom of gingivitis or periodontal disease.
Q: Are electric toothbrushes better then manual?
A: It would depend on what kind of a “brusher” you are. If you’re following a good oral hygiene and see your hygienist regularly, a manual toothbrush should be sufficient. If you think that you r oral hygiene needs improvement, then upgrading to an electric toothbrush might be a good idea.
Invisalign
Q: Do I have to wear braces to fill the spaces between my teeth?
A: Invisalign (aligners) could fill the gaps. We can have major alignments done with our invisalign technique. Your dental professional can determine if you are viable candidate for Invisalign.
Crowns and Fillings
Q: My back teeth have a lot of silver and gold. Is there a less obvious way to fill cavities?
A: New advances in tooth-colored porcelain and composite materials not only allow fillings to go unnoticed, but are stronger and more wear-resistant than silver and gold.
Bleaching
Q: What is Zoom!
A: Zoom! Is a bleaching process that lightens discoloration of enamel and dentin.
Q: Who may benefit from tooth whitening?
A: Almost anyone. However, treatment may not be as effective for some as it is for others. Your dental professional can determine if you are viable candidate for this procedure through a thorough oral exam, including a shade assessment.
Veneers
Q: What are veneers?
A: Porcelain shields that are bonded to the front of your teeth to create dramatic change in your smile.
Q: How do I know if Veneers are right for me?
